Most work experience placements at Now are online. This is an amazing chance to get valuable on-the-job training. You will NOT be making the Website Editor cups of tea or going to fetch blueberry muffins.

You must be over 18.

In full-time education? A voluntary 4-week work experience placement must be stipulated as part of your course.

New graduates
Job seekers can also apply to train with Now (an IPC Media brand) on a 4-week placement.

Digital work experience

It's essential that you can write, are comfortable with computers and understand the importance of accuracy. If you are a fast worker who also has a  great eye for images, apply for Now digital work experience.

Familiarity with Apple Macs is helpful and a basic understanding of Photoshop is a plus.

Successful applicants will be able to commit to a FULL-TIME placement for 4 weeks full-time.

Work assignments depend on aptitude. Duties will include administrative tasks, but there will also be the chance to research pictures and/or write. Anyone who has studied photography may also get to switch from keyboard to camera.

Details you need to know

The hours are 9am to 5pm, local travel expenses up to £10 a day will be reimbursed (ask for a receipt when you buy your ticket as proof of purchase is essential) and there is a £3.90 lunch allowance.

We have many applicants who realise that they cannot afford any additional cost for commuting or have nowhere to stay in the London area during their work placement, so please consider this carefully.

Make sure the daily journey to Southwark is feasible for you - punctuality is very important, as is reliability.

You must be 21+ to work on Now magazine.
